Responding to oil spills in beach habitats seminar set for 11/13/17 in Mobile, Ala.

The second of three Responding to oil spills seminars will take place in Mobile, Alabama, an all-day free event where scientists and responders discuss the unique challenges created by oil spills affecting beach and nearshore environments. The event, hosted by the Sea Grant Oil Spill Outreach Team, is open to the public. Lunch will be provided for registered participants. As with all of our workshops, a live, interactive webcast will be available for any interested party who cannot attend in person.

At each workshop, researchers and emergency responders will explain how science is currently incorporated into response efforts and discuss ways this process may be improved. To register for either meeting or to sign up for the remote webcast, click the links below.
