South Atlantic Red Snapper Research Program
In 2021, a team of university researchers, government scientists, and a business specializing in ecological modeling was selected to conduct research to estimate the number of red snapper in U.S. South Atlantic waters from North Carolina to south Florida.
This 30-month project is using a variety of methods to estimate the population density and distribution of red snapper in the U.S. South Atlantic.
