Natural Resource Management Seminar & Workshop

This seminar was offered in conjunction with the Oil Spill and Ecosystem Conference that was held in Houston, TX. Natural resource managers were invited to attend a seminar on the first day of the conference.
Dr. Nancy Rabalais presented work that has been conducted by the Coastal Waters Consortium looking at the effects of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill on coastal ecosystems. View the presentation – PDF
Lauren Showalter presented information about the Gulf of Mexico Research Initiative Information and Data Cooperative (GRIIDC) which is a searchable database for raw data from projects that have been funded by the Gulf of Mexico Research Initiative (GoMRI). View the presentation – PDF
Attendees also participated in an input session to determine additional oil spill science needs. This information will be used to create future outreach products.
